Applies to: Info-Retriever 2000 and Info-Retriever 2005
Regarding:
DBISAM Errors including (but not limited to) the following:
DBISAM Error 8961 - Header information corrupt in table <tablename>
DBISAM Error 8965 - Index page buffers corrupt in table <tablename>
Description:
These errors occur when Info-Retriever attempts to open a table and either the table or its index is corrupt. Normally the problem can be corrected without any loss of data by running the Maintenance Utility included with Info-Retriever.
IMPORTANT: Before running the maintenance utility, we strongly recommend that you make a full backup copy of your database files. This is not because we do not trust the maintenance utility, but instead to make sure that you have a "snapshot" of the current condition of the database, in the off chance that the maintenance utility encounters a situation that just makes things worse.
To run the maintenance utility:
- Make sure Info-Retriever is not running.
- Click the Start button, then Programs, and then Info-Retriever.
- On the flyout menu, click "Info-Retriever Maintenance Utility"
- Follow the instructions on the screen.
Troubleshooting:
- If the maintenance utility will not run, or you get an error indicating that a database file is already in use, please exit the maintenance utility and reboot your computer, then try again.
- If you are using a Network version of Info-Retriever, you should run the maintenance utility from your server (where the main Info-Retriever program is installed)
If the problem persisits after completing the above procedures, please let us know by sending an email to support@agtcad.com.
