Can't select polyline in Legal-Aid
Can't select polyline in Legal-Aid
Solution
Applies to:
Legal-Aid 2010 and above
Issue:
When selecting entities in Legal-Aid, it says "0 found" in the command line, and the line or polyline is not selected.
Discussion:
This can happen in the following scenario:
You have AutoCAD Civil 3D installed and you are using just the AutoCAD portion (ie: you are running Civil 3D as AutoCAD)
Chances are good that the line or polyline that you are trying to select is actually a Civil 3D "Parcel" object instead of a polyline. If you create a Parcel in Civil 3D, and then later load this drawing into the Civil 3D version of AutoCAD (in otherwords, Civil 3D is not running), the parcel will still be visible in AutoCAD. However, since Civil 3D is not running, AutoCAD does not have the additional routines available to handle it.
Solution:
Close AutoCAD, then re-open the drawing in Civil 3D.
Run Legal-Aid.
When you get to the prompt "Entities <Points> or parCel", select "C" for the Parcel option.
Click on the Label of the parcel you wish to select. (Do not click on the line).
The parcel should now be selected.
